ONE
First we’ll welcome you to our office, where you will be met by Dr. Kriegel and his team. This is our time to get to know you, your history, and your goals and gain a deeper look into the overall health of your mouth and the impact it may be having on your body.
We will then obtain a multitude of diagnostics, which include three dimensional cone beam imaging (also known as CBCT), necessary dental radiographs, a full composite of photos of your facial anatomy and teeth, oral cancer screening, initial periodontal evaluation, and an in depth clinical examination of your mouth as seen by Dr. Kriegel.

As soon as we have acquired your diagnostic data, we collaborate. Dr. Kriegel will take time to analyze your records and diagnostics, and create your personalized treatment plan with the objective of improving your health, restoring proper function, and enhancing esthetics.
Finally, before any treatment is performed, we’ll review your plan and provide you with insight and recommendations necessary to make the most informed, educated decision about your health, longevity, and comfort. Being able to support you on your unique healing journey is a quintessential part of our practice. One of the foundational elements of biological dentistry is an emphasis on the materials that we use. Each tooth is restored with a biocompatible, BPA free composite material. Not only does it not elicit an immune response, but it can be matched to your natural tooth.

Biological dentistry is not a recognized specialty, rather a philosophy. With that, a dentist may refer to themselves as holistic or biological upon additional education and certifications. A differentiating factor is a biological dentist that is not only mercury free, but mercury safe. Also it is important to recognize the additional education and continuing education hours including accreditation within the IAOMT and IABDM organizations.

When a root canal is recommended it is important to understand why. A CBCT will be able to evaluate whether the tooth is infected or fractured past the point of repair. In that instance, the alternative would be to remove the tooth, the surrounding ligament, and place a biocompatible ceramic implant to restore form and function.

Dental x-rays emit low levels of radiation, however they are one of the most powerful tools for prevention. They allow us to uncover dental decay, lesions, or disease when it is small enough that we can not see clinically. All x-rays taken will follow the ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) principle and each patient will be protected by lead aprons.
